God save the Queen!

In January we recieved a new product from 3M called Blue Tape, it’s a painter’s product that is great for masking off and making lines without bleed through… We have used it in the shop on projects that need masking off but we recently tried in on one of our pieces for Upcycle Furnishings. We sprayed a very “country” pine end table in CC-40 cloud white as seen here in it’s original state:

After it was painted we gathered our supplies (Tape, an internet Union Jack template and paint):

Then we taped off the sections starting with blue, and then the red (since the door was already white we had that taken care of). Once the paint had dried (2 days of drying time) it was then distressed.

Check out the after picture once the hardware was installed:

This piece is for sale through Upcycle Furnishings: www.paintitlikenew.com/upcycle
