A “new” Kitchen For My Home

You may remember my post regarding my main floor re-no in our home.  Much like the shoecobblers children, I really hadn’t taken advantage of my spray business and sprayed anything for my own home.  With a new tile floor, new trims, paint colour and newly configured island, I knew it was time to spray the doors. I had already sprayed the new island components that I had built from Ikea. But the balance of the kitchen needed to be sprayed up. Just like my customers, my husband Rob and I took off all of the doors and drawer fronts and I delivered them to the shop. My staff filled the old holes in the drawers, but I decided to reuse the single hole pulls on the balance of the kitchen.  We chose Manchester Tan (HC81), the same colour as the island to warm up the old stark white kitchen. The contrast of the warmer tan colour, tan/grey granite counters and dark grey slate floors are perfect! Just what we were looking for!  I did leave the subway tile back splash, but I love the clean backdrop to my pretty bottles of oils and stainless steel appliances. We removed the pot-rack for the new pot drawers and installed a new light over the cooking area. I find food prep and cooking a real joy in this “new” space!!  Take a peek at the before and after pictures below and also in our gallery tab.
